Old, Paid student loans Help

All of my student loans were paid by because I became permanently disabled and unable to work in 1998.

All the loans were taken out in 94-95.

They still show on my CR. When I called Sallie Mae, they said that the collection date is 3 mnths before the loans were paid.

Should I fight to get these off, or are they not significant?

Answerwoman, how do these show on your credit reports? Is there anything neg listed with them? Late pays or anything at all? If so, then you should dispute them and try and get them off your reports. Or even dispute as never late first and go from there.

Some of them show as paid charge-offs. I don't even know if the laws for Student Loans are the same as regular credit cards.

Sallie Mae all shows paid as agreed.

Maybe I'll try disputing with the CRA as never late.

I just got my settlement for my student loans. If you have about
3/4 of the balance they will settle with you. This was the only
debt I had to actually write a check for. I pulled some money
out of my 401 k and It will be all paid off by the end of the summer.

Hi there Fix, where you been hiding at? The problem here is she don't need to settle as they are paid off. She needs to get the neg marks off it though.

Try for a complete deletion. The student loan cos do seem to
monitor the account status as well as the balances. Just keep
saying not mine.

i hav the same salliemae on my tu report they had it surpressed for a month and now its back again so every 60 days ill keep disputing and hopefully it will come off.

I called a couple of the CRAs and told them they had been re-aged, that the last activity was 94-95. I'll see what happens. Since they were all paid in 1998 I don't know if it's causing problems or not.

AAnswer what happened with your complaints about re aging. did they get deleted? I also had my last loans in 95-96 but all of them are still on my report. even the ones from 91
