It's almost football season, and I may have to stop working on my credit when it starts :D . I was wondering what sports other people think is the best.

Football is a way of life in our house. My husband has been a diehard Patriot's fan his whole life, my kids have gotten hooked and yes, even me. We subscribe to Sunday Ticket, and never miss a Patriot's game. We had to start watching all of Buffalo's games when good old Drew moved over there, so Sundays are a wash during football season.

In fact, we're going to Las Vegas in the next couple of weeks to place our Division and superbowl bets!

I'm glad I don't live close enough to Vegas to bet. I could probably get in some trouble. I work in a casino and I think it has cured me of gambling.

I'm going out on limb and picking the Raiders to win it all this year. Not necessarily my favorite team, but I think they could go all the way.

I was going to add that but left it out at the last minute. I had "Other" but I guess I put too many choices and it got left out.

Yes, but I hope everyone sees it as the big joke that it is

What, no golf? Where's WNBA? And the fastest growing sport of 'em all: NASCAR....

The poll is limited to so many answers, but we can take write in votes.

BTW, I heard pro men's lacrosse was the fastest growing sport on Fox News the other day. But, to be fair and balanced, I'm with you on Nascar.

Yeah, it's definately NASCAR.....they can get upwards of 200,000 plus per race nowadays....and forget about the TV ratings.....

That's funny, doesn't FOX carry NASCAR?

Football for us too! Definitely!! Both my DH and I are die hard Redskins (... or should we say Dead-skins for now... :x ) fans. We can't wait for the day when we can afford our own private suite at the Fedex center.

For the past 5 years now, we've also been actively involved in fantasy football. We went to the "superbowl" of our league 2X, and lost both :( . We had Terrell Davis  the first superbowl we went . And the second time we had Shaun Alexander when he was hot. We stupidly kept him as our franchise player last year and gave up Priest Holmes. We also stupidly gave up Clinton Portis early in the season last year because he didn't perform as well as we expected during the first 6 games. Oh, well...

Sorry, this is probably TMI (too much information)... I am ready for some football!!! :D

Well, I too love football. Duh, LOL. My fave team is the 49ers. Could you guess. I grew up around football. I can remember watching MNF with my dad when I was 4 years old. I'm getting my kids hooked on watching football as well.

When I go through withdrawls, I watch NASCAR. I love #8. Also loved #3 just as much. Oh, I can't stand JeffyBoy either.

I like Australian Rugby  Those NFL pansies wouldn't stand a chance with no pads, helmets, or replacement players.

I'm not a big sports fan. I kinda like watching "Heavy Athletics" like the highland games (caber tossing, etc.) Something about watching great big muscly guys in kilts throwing really heavy things.

I don't know if I'm just getting old, but I can't stand the boasting that takes place on the field/court/diamond these days. Running up the field 20 yards after making a sack. Yelling, swaggering, and staring down players after a dunk. Even TENNIS players have attitudes. They wear WHITE SHORTS (!!!) and think they're bad! I love seeing a great play, but when someone boasts, it just cancels it all out.

Maybe I'll go back to watching pro sports when there are more chop blocks, beanballs, and flying fists. Ah, for the good ole days of Joe Theismann, Dickie Thon, and Rudy Tomjonavich.

Maybe that's why hockey is kinda interesting to me now.

I agree. I like college football so much better. Another thing that I hate is the athletes crying about they don't make enough money, and the owners are robbing them. Then you have the idiots like Kobe Bryant, guilty or not, who will lose millions because he had to cheat on his wife or rape someone, whichever it was.

To watch on TV-Football. To watch in person-Baseball.

Although, I did get to see the winning goal at the Stanley Cup last year and that was a f*cking amazing experience!

Then we hopped over for the last half of the Angels Game. God, I love Anaheim!
