Ive managed to pay off all of my consumer debt, however, my credit reports havn't been updated yet and when they are they still will most likely reflect "paid" charged-off accounts, 30,60,90 day late payments..etc. To my misfortune, I was a tad bit late coming across this site, otherwise I would have sent letters of validation prior to paying off these accounts. My question now is, What type of issues should I raise in the letters I'm sending to the OC's, CA's and CRA's in order to have these accounts deleted? Since I've already paid the CA's, wont they just say, "hey dummy! you paid these accounts off, so they must have been yours, LIVE WITH IT!" I havent seen much on how to deal with PAID OFF ACCOUNTS with OC's,CA's, and CRA's. Am I still supposed to send them verification/validation letters, though I've already paid? What do I dispute? dates, interests? balance? signature? account wasnt mine but I paid anyway? please! please! please help me gain clarity! Thanks folks!

Nope, paid collections are the easiest targets for debt validation - they just don't want to mess with you, and since they've already gotten their money, they most of the time will delete.

Who do you send the letters to in this case, the CRA's, the CA's or the OC's ????
