Settling on old returned checks

I have 3 returned checks from early 97.
I need to send out a settlement letter to them so I can pay these off but I also want to make sure that those entries get removed from my CRAs

These are the only 3 collections that will be left on my credit.

Anyone have a letter for that..or anyone got ideas on helping me word one.

That would be correct. They sent me copies of the checks they actually hold.

I dont mind paying them, I jsut want the neg entries removed off the credit.

You can try negotiating the deletion off of your credit report - is the statute of limitations up? If it is, you can say that it's remove it, or lose the opportunity to collect....
