Okay i filed chapter 7 June 3, 2003. On my public record it's recorded under transunion and experian, but not equifax. On Transunion it states: date reported 6/1/03 with no status dates. On my experian report it states: reported 6/2/03 with status date of 6/3/03. Is one of these incorrect? Shouldn't they both state the same thing for reported and status date. Can one be removed?

Have you already gotten your discharge ??

If the FILING DATE was actually 6/3/03, then THAT is what your CR should reflect, anything else is inaccurate.

I should have my discharge next week. One of my reports reflect a different filing date. COuld that tl be deleted or will they just update it?

I just got my discharge and have noticed the same discrepency particulary with EX. Not only is the filing date four days off but my birth year is wrong. I'm biding my time right now and learning as much as i can so i dont look like a jacka** when i do something. I look forward to future posts regarding this topic.

Wait until about 90 days AFTER your discharge, then look at your reports again. It'll take a least that long for all your creditors to have your accounts as 'included in bankruptcy'. If they don't say that, and some won't, then you start the disputes, and the filing date of the bankruptcy is a big one. However, it may be more advantageous to wait a while before contesting the BK - you may have a way to get it deleted entirely.
