Hey I have to watch my figure!!!!! Gotta look good for the babes!!!
Actully, I used to drink all that heavy stuff, it does taste good. But, for my body chemistry I loose weight when I drink MILLER-LITE. I think it's because it takes 10 parts of water to digest 1 part of alchol(sp)!!!. Any how, when I drink Miller Lite before going to bed I always loose weight. I happen to like the taste too!!!
... But my all-time favorite??? : Good ol: Hienekin(sp), I don't even want to remember how it's spelled, I might gain 20 lbs. (lol).

Well, not all things that SMELL bad are bad for you. It's an "ACQUIRED TASTE". Some of the best things life smelled weird at first to me, it turns out some of the HAPPIEST people in the world swear by them, hmmmm?????? 8) 8) 8) 8) . After aquring a taste for them I'm a happier person and part of the 'IN CROWD'.

 Well I am a reformed non drinker since the firewater was keeping me from getting in touch with my true self, but if I were to have a beer today it would be coor's light. I used to love the beer made with Colorado mountain spring water :!:

LOL, native - that just did not sound right how you worded that, lol
The one I stay away from for sure is Vodca!!! Hangover city, so so sick, younger days not knowing any better - someone had the bright idea of mixing everclear!!! Nope won't do that again!!! Never
Capepuffin
10-12-2003, 01:10 PM
I never do the salt! :P Don't like it like that!
Ah yes the younger, stupid days of mixing beer & hard liquor! Course I never ate before I drank too! Spent many a'night riding the porcelain bus! Don't miss that at all. Some times I wonder if it was all the partying I did when younger if that is what caused me to get sick with my CFIDS. I would stay out all night and party like 3 times per week, not to mention the drugs when I was even younger!

 Cape you are so funny ha ha riding the porcelain bus. Well I was wretching after I saw him eating the worm, yuck :!:
kb9tbq
10-12-2003, 01:30 PM
That I will never never do - you know that worm is where all the tequila is... have to be pretty drunk to swallow it, and know that you will be even worse off once you do!
Oh, one thing I do know, that before them worms are ever put in the bottle they are baked first. But that still don't help knowing, lol
Here are my two all time favorites ...
New Belgium Brewing Company - Fat Tire Amber Ale

Widmer Brothers Brewing Company - Hefeweizen

How about a Beemish Irish Stout?! After about 10 you will have to close one eye so you don't see double.

Hey I guess the GERMAN beers are where it's at.
.... I heard that CORONA beer has a GERMAN heritage: I'm a fan of CORONAs but I drink them very moderatly: I haven't tried their LIGHT brand, I might try that soon.
Here are some more ... If you feel like taking a world tour.

I prefer Bud Light when I drink beer. I also like one from a local club/brewery here, O'Hara's "Golden Honey Wheat" and a seasonal beer I had there once, raspberry.
When DH comes off the road next spring and we have the space hopefully in our own house, he plans on making beer and I'll be making wine 8)

I can't take drinking anymore. I didnt drink for a year and went out during labor day weekend. Took me two days to recoupe from that. It was keg beer though, so that prob didnt help. I like bud light in the bottle if and when I can handle the drinking. I guess turning 21 the day after you have your first child kinda puts a damper on the whole "i can drink leagally now" thing. Though I can handle mudsildes if I drink them slow enough. Most alcohol burns & pains my stomach.
I dont care for drinking around my kids either, I guess that has really put me to a stop on the drinking. Their dad drinks around them sometimes on friday or saturdays, and of course when theres a party everyone wants to bring the beer. Kinda dumb to bring beer to kids parties.
And you know what I really hate? When someone asks one of my kids to get them another beer. I tell my kids very loudly, tell so and so that your not their beer runner, that your under age and not allowed to touch beer or any other alcohol. That just peeves me to no end. Get your lazzzzy azzzzzzzz butt up and get your own dang beer, dont be sending my 10 year old to get it for you.

Wow, you'd hate me then...I always bribe the ankle biters to bring me another brew.
Though I do adopt your philosophy in my own home.
"You want a beer?"
"Sure"
"Fridge is over there, bring me one while you're up"

DH's favorite is Sam Adams xbeer)
I hate it when DH drinks so much that he slurs his words and falls asleep sitting up! He used to do it alot but I have gotten him to cut back. I notice though when stress is high he's got a beer in his hand! I can't handle alcohol anymore either, which I think is a good thing!

Lol, I know the feeling Cape. DH has always drank (heavily) since Ive known him.....every nite it was beer and on the weekends it was whiskey. He was never a violent drunk or anything, just annoying and quite boring. :? His drinking has been the stem of MANY arguments and Ive threatened, begged, and pleaded for him to stop. Tried a few times before without any steady success and as of Christmas last year, hes been sober. :D Very VERY VERY proud!!! :D :D :D I still get nervous for him whenever its (alcohol) around. But he swears he just doesnt want to drink anymore, I trust him.

Mine is <img src=http://64.95.118.51/images/opti/1e/9a/fddkBeersBy_NameJW_Dundees_Honey_Brown_Lager-resized200.jpg> & REd Stripe..
When I moved from Michigan they didn't carry Honey Brown here so I reverted back to MGD & High Life (usually high life because the case is cheaper and it's not watery a'la Busch, Pabst and Coors).
Red Stripe I love but when you're used to getting 24 for around 13 dollars and Stripes cost $7.99 for 6. It because a luxury item,lol..

I LOVE Stovepipe Porter! Also, Pilsner Urquell (but only if you get it on tap in its native land--the Czech Republic). For some reason it isn't as good in a bottle here in the USA!
Also--Warsteiner...it's a German beer that I had on the plane ride over to Prague...haven't seen it here in the states...Good stuff though! :D

Ghetto baby, you are TOO funny!
Actually, I like chocolate beer (extra stout guiness-like sludge with chocolate flavoring), but one goes a long way.
I'm really a red-wine devotee.

In my early 20's I spent a lot of time drinking, I was a jack daniel's/Killian's Red kind gal. After a few years of walking around in a haze, I just kind stopped drinking. (guess I grew up)
Anyway these days if I were to have a beer, it would be a Rolling Rock or Corona. I have never dug MGD or anything, taste a wee too bland.
Though there seems to be a lot of local beer here in Maine (NE in general) I tried something called Magic Hat (I beleive) a while back and it wasn't bad. I was just looking at a pumpkin beer in the store, might go back and pick up some.
