When I recently got approved for a personal unsecured, signature loan for 48 months for 13k, the loan officer told me that my credit score put me in a C category.

I was short on time so I didn’t get to asked what the categories were but from reading the web sites of other banks and credit unions, I have noticed these categories:

A plus
A
B
C
D

Naturally, I can deduce that the A plus is the best and D must be the worst.

I would really like to know a lot more about this works because I naturally want to obtain the best financing possible at the best interest rates.

J_snow, that is an AWESOME web site.

In the past I have relied on Edmunds.com and KBB.com but they give more sanitized journalistic information.

That web site gives you the scoop on rip offs, scams, and how slimy some of those car salesmen really are.

I helped my sister buy her car a couple of years ago. Fortunately, I knew the value of the car and what to expect from Edmunds and KBB so I knew what to expect. But that site gives the low down on the filth that dealers engage in.
