First, I'm DHK and it's exciting to see a forum like this out there for people who want to know:
"Why do banks (or other financial institutions) do the things they do?"
I've been in banking for a short 3 years, but I've learned quickly having been the operations manager for Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. in Mission Viejo & Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. I hope to put my knowledge to work for all of you to help you understand a bank's perspective as well as what YOU can do about service situations, fees charged, loan & credit considerations, overdraft charges, charged-off accounts, chexsystems, etc.
All of your questions are welcome here. Please feel free to vent as well. I'm looking forward to a lot of open discussion about the banking industry.
