Great article!

Is it too far fetched to say the problem is more predominate that we think? How much background investigation is a company willing to fund for the entry-level people they hire for $9 an hour that have total access to your account information?

Being the realist that I am I have to pose the question, do you think they knew she would do that?? Who goes into an interview and says btw I plan to steal cc #'s from your company?
If the applicant does not have a criminal record for theft, it can be very difficult to pinpoint who will steal and who won't.

Its unfortunate that Citibank didnt/dosent safeguard its customers information any better than it does.

Makes you wonder how many other consumers have been victimized by cc company employees.
