Since I moved to Nc from Ny I go to Turner at least once a year to watch a game when Mets are in town, nice stadium. My Dad lives in Atlanta so its easy. Atlanta , though is not a place I would want to live TRAFFIC and I'm from NY.

Me too.. I didn't see any news today/tonight though... but we did get some rain here and that helped to clean the air up so it isn't as smokey.

Nan and I are getting ready to paint. I thinking that we will be all set to move in a couple of weeks. I'm in no rush.

This is the first time that I can actually take my time and not hurry. I want to make sure everything is done right.

The dogs love it. Mossy, my male (weimaraner) dug his first hole in the new yard today. I could of killed him. Get this, he has never done that before (he's 4). Nan and I were joking around saying that maybe he's found Hoffa...lol

I want to repaint the inside of our house but its going to be a PITA with the ceilings.

I can't tell you how much I can't wait until I can paint my own house. I'm so damn tired of having do deal with someone else's color scheme or plain white walls I could scream!!!

Did you let the kids decide their own paint colors?

Our lab used to be a digger..........now he's 13 he just rolls around in the dirt, refuses to shake it off and brings it in the house :roll: But our 2 yr old boxer mix has taken to going crazy about the dog behind us, and he keeps knocking out the wood fence planks :evil:

I'll remodel all day long, but painting.......you can have it. I would rather go pound sand. :?

I do get to remodel the bathroom though! I am gonna start the DEMO on Sunday. I want to have that finished before we move in. The rest I can wait and do a little at a time. The house really doesnt need much but the guy that lived there before me did a lot of the finish work half ass. He's a schlep. Instead of using base board molding around the floor, he used 6" boards and didn't even miter the corners. A Bob Villa this guy was not!

That is sooo cool!!!! How'd you get them to do that? Did they grow up around each other?

We have like 40 plus ceilings... it's going to require scaffolding. And I'm not totally convinced that the roof issues are solved-so, since Hurricane season is starting I want to get thru it before we start painting over the water spots from 2004.

Yeah, the girls are excited. They want thier room pink and purple!! Nan found this cool stuff at home depot. Its wall stencils with all kinds of shapes. It's hard to explain so I'll have to post pics when it's done!!

Yes, Comet is still wild but sleeps on the porch. Their mom is a vet's aid and it seems during Fawning season when people come across a fawn alone, they take it to the vet. Not the thing to do of course since the mom will leave the fawn where she thinks its safe while the people are around and then go back to it after they leave. Anyway, that is where Comet came from so she was bottle fed. She will be 1 in July. It was pretty cool. I have some other pics I just didn't get them out of the camera yet.
