Just got a bottle at the local HyVee. German, unknown vintage. Very pleasant. Soft, slightly sweet...just enough to cover the "winey" taste. Maybe just a hint of apple? Frankly, I'm amazed that it made it to Iowa without turning to vinegar.
I'll be sure and try another...
