We uncorked a bottle of this last night while watching the fireworks with the kids and have to say it was a GREAT bottle of Chard. A lot of the Chards coming out of CA seem to be over oaked, but not this one. Oaky but not to the point of being distracting, with a nice vanilla and spice nose. White Burgundy is usually the wine I go for when I'm in the white wine mood but this might be taking the place reserved for some Pouilly-Fuisses.
