Here's proof (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-vickindictment&prov=ap&type=lgns)that a multi-bazillion dollar NFL contract buys no common sense at all

I heard about the indictment on ESPN Radio this morning. I'm no member of PETA or anything, but those allegations are sickening. Electrocution, hanging and drowning dogs?

I read the article earlier this morning and while I think Pitbulls are generally vicious animals and would never have them around my children, I feel terrible for that treatment of them. While I bare no sympathy in putting down proven vicioius animals, I think Michael Vick should be subject to harse punishment!

If proven true-he needs to be in jail.

You know that "rape stand" that they said they found? Well I think they need to drop his pants, NO LUBRICANT and put him on there for a few hours. AFter that, put his ass in the ring and let them chew his ass up. Take it like the man that you think you are Vick!

If he goes to jail, there may be a "rape stand" of another kind there.

Vick is a little dude too. I couldn't see him defending himself. Of course, lets not forget he is also Ron Mexico.

Not that I've ever been to jail, but I could image someone going after him for "bragging" rights. He's charged federally I believe so he might end up in country club federal prison.

That boy ain't right...
This week-end, in the Dallas Morning news, they had an aerial photo of the property where the alleged dog fighting took place.
I studied the image for a while 'cause something just didn't look right. Then, there it was, his million dollar mansion - with a $900 above ground pool nicely situated in the back yard...

His attorney released a statement.
ATLANTA--Michael Vick’s attorney, Billy Martin, spoke today at length about the dog-killing allegations leveled against his client and insisted that Vick ate “every single dog” that was killed on his property, dispelling the notion the dogs were killed merely for sport.

If it's real then it completely goes against everything he has been saying about not being there and not knowing about any of it.

It's a device used to restrain female fighting dogs in heat so they can be bred more easily. Saw a news story a couple years ago outta South Carolina. Law enforcement raided a property where dog fighting had occurred, and they showed a picture of a rape stand. Wood construction, front resembled a stock to restrain the head, middle had a half ring with a thick leather belt to restrain the middle torso, and a male dog could mount the female in heat.

Yeah, I've heard it's gotta be a minimum on 12 though and in VA, I think they'll at least do that.

Well, they said this particular judge is tough on sentencing.
My bet is that he gets 2 years, but ends up serving only 10-12 months.
samuelson2005
08-29-2007, 03:36 AM
I don't think he'll even serve a year, if he serves any time at all. I hope they don't do a house arrest with an ankle bracelet. I'm sick of seeing people get sentenced to their own home with ankle bracelets. But banning him fromt he NFL for life is gonna sting more than the jail time. He's toast.
Sure hope he never has any children.

Especially when they are rich and have mansions. If they are going to ankle braclet him, let him stay at my place and I'll take his!

The judge he has is known to be harder on sentencing than all the others in that area. I say he gets 3 yrs, with 2 suspended and with good behavior he serves 3 months tops. Not long enough as far as I'm concerned!!!
