Trott & trott trying to send certified mail

What could it be?

Long story short -- house went into foreclosure. We tried to work with Countrywide but they weren't really interested in all that. We've moved out and on with our lives. At my old address there was a cert notification from this collection agency but I didn't get it in time to collect the letter since it had gone to my old addy.

Any ideas? I'm a bit worried obviously but they haven't tried to contact me any other way.

It is my understanding that there is a lot that goes on with foreclosures, required notices and all kinds of things. It could be some kind of required paperwork. It might also be a summons.

I would suggest not worrying about what it might be and address what is actually is. Can you accept the letter at the post office or are there any options?

I'm not sure how I can try to track down this certified letter. The post office said it was already returned. Do they have to try to contact me another way? My new addy is plainly stated on my credit report etc. I have this nightmare of my bank acct being taken unexpectedly or some other nightmare.

On a side note -- I met a family members new girlfriend who told me she works at gulp** Trott & Trott. How red my face must have turned...
