How can this happen?
Never served papers to summons. Moved out of state. Served papers years later of transfer of judgement w/ different CC Attorney (in a county court I don't live in). OC Atty signed over rights to judgement.
Judgement bout to expire, served papers again by original CC Atty to renew judgement in previous state. Answered w/ Motion to set aside, included exhibit of transfer. CC responds w/ Opposition to motion.
Didn't know how to respond to opposition so did nothing. Just got letter from out of state court my request to set aside/void was denied.
Now because this is legally in new state, does it void all the hoopla going on in old state?
Part of the collection was dismissed in another judgement. Can they sue me again?
Should I file motion to vacate & in which state? or Appeal?
