Hello,
I had a judgement filed through a local attorney for a $800 balance owed to capital one. I made payments with the attny and paid the balance off lat week. I received a "notice of settlement/withdrawal" today in the mail stating the case was settled between myself and capital one bank/paul klemm
My credit report does not show a judgement, just a past due balance with capital one for $165.00.
I have disputed this unsuccessfully prior because my balance on my credit report never totalled what was listed on the judgement paperwork that was filed. However it was never removed. What will the pay status be updated too? Should i send an appeal with this notice of settlement/withdrawal to the credit bureaus?? I'm concerned someone will add a judgement to my report when none has been listed??
Any help or suggestions or info would be appreciated!
