Does anyone know where I can get access to the 2 digit dispute codes that the CRA's use to label your dispute. I found a site that listed them last week and thought I saved it but in fact I did not. I had 9 items deleted last month alone and have brought my score up from 465 to 601 in 60 days......I learned early on its all on I how I classified the dispute...Thank you for any help that you can give.

Not sure if this is what your talking about:
R0 Too new to rate; approved but not used R1 Pays (or paid) within 30 days of payment due date or not over one payment past due R2 Pays (or paid) in more than 30 days from payment due date, but not more than 60 days, or not more than two payments past due R3 Pays (or paid) in more than 60 days from payment due date, but not more than 90 days, or not more than three payments past due R4 Pays (or paid) in more than 90 days from payment due date, but not more than 120 days, or four payments past due R5 Account is at least 120 days overdue, but is not yet rated "9" R7 Making regular payments through a special arrangement to settle your debts R8 Repossession (voluntary or involuntary return of merchandise) R9 Bad debt; placed for collection; moved without giving a new address Other rating indicators that might be found on a report are "I" for installment credit or "O" for open credit line.

The only place I've seen these is when disputing online through one of the CRA websites.

Roms: The codes you provided are the debt classification codes listed on your CRAs to define what type of debt it is. These aren't the dispute does that the CRAs and OCs/CAs use to verify a debt. For example, when you dispute a TL showing lates with the CRA has having never been late the CRA converts your dispute into a two-digit code and submits it for verification to the OC/CA.
major: I do remember seeing a post a long time back that listed the dispute codes. I don't believe the codes you see when doing an online dispute are the same codes the CRAs use when verifying with an OC/CA. I think Admin or Xanathos may have the codes? |

Thank you all for the help....Breathing_easier...I believe you are correctabout the above codes.....The two digit codes seem to be closley guarded by the CRA's. I have learned that the key to removal is correct classification of the dispute....I just had another dispute removed with the score up to 10 deletes since July......If anybody has the CRA disput codes please list them....they are VERY helpful....

I just found this on a web site for a credit bureau, it might be helpful. I too am in the beginning process of repair, just opted out and I will call to try and remove all the erroneous addresses and names, ( I actually have 4 different names latched onto my SS #!!!)
Codes and Abbreviations used by Experian CREDIT REPORTING THE HEADING 1. The Heading is at the very top. It contains the inputting information. Time, Date, and the Bureaus' Client Reference Number. The inputting information includes the name, social security number, and address of the applicant followed by the name of the requesting party. May 13, 2000 00:06:54 AM Inquiry 21 Reference 18792 JEFFREY DARRELL CONSUMER 675-54-4435 CA-1792 E WASHINGTON BLVD/PASADENA CA 91104 RM 1 U-George Patton/O T-29 V-07/045/WIN14 Check the name and social security number of the person. Does it match with the rental application the applicant submitted? IDENTIFICATION 2. The next section of the report is the applicants' identifying information. This includes the Consumer's name and address, number of subscribers including the address via the update tape (U=Update Tape, I=Inquiry, M=Manual Data). The Account number for the last subscriber including the consumer at their current address. The Consumer's previous address with source. (An asterisk preceding any address indicates the address was not entered on inquiry.) The Consumer's year of birth. The Consumers Employer's name and address including time frame and source (U=Update Tape, I=Inquiry). The Consumers' Previous employer's name and address with time frame and source. JEFFREY DARRELL CONSUMER 1792 E WASHINGTON BLVD PASADENA, CA. 91104 SS******** E: THE TIME COMPANY 121 PARK PLACE LOS ANGELES CA 90091 RPTD: 6-99 TO 4-00 U 5X LAST SUB: 2397645 DOB: 1951 RPTD:5-98 5250 LA CANADA BLVD LA CANADA, CA. 91011 RPTD: 7-95 TO 5-99 U 1X MICROSOFT 111 MAIN STREET SEATTLE, WA 89121 RPTD: 10-89 TO 2-98 Check the addresses and employment history against those submitted in the rental application. Do they match? The addresses are located below the applicants name with the most current address directly below the applicants name and chronologically listed from there. The employment and birth date information are located to the right of the applicant's addresses and above the summary score. Former addresses and employment information is inputted when a consumer applies for credit. Therefore it can or cannot be a definitive verification of the last three residences or jobs. SCORE SUMMERY (FICO) 3. The score summary Experian/Fair Isaac (FICA or FICO) is above the applicants trade information, and is the over all rating of the applicants future loan worthiness as determined by many financial factors devised by the Fair Isaac Corporation. Generally scores exceeding 630 to 640 are considered by banks as worthy of loans. The lowest scores are in the low 400's and the highest scores close to 850 (Very few). Scores between 600 and 700 are very common and considered very good. Most tenant applicants will fall between these scores (550 and 675). Scores below 575 are considered a risk, and usually warrant further documentation or higher security deposits if the landlord proceeds. This is a comprehensive list of the information considered by Fair, Isaac scoring models in calculating a FICO score at one of the major CRA's. This information was released 6/8/2000 and was taken directly from the Fair Isaac web site. Past payment history Account payment information on specific types of accounts (bank cards, retail accounts, installment loans, finance company accounts, mortgage, etc.) Presence of adverse public records (bankruptcy, judgements, suits, liens, wage attachments, etc.), collection items, and/or delinquency (past due items) Severity of delinquency (how long past due) Amount past due on delinquent accounts or collection items Time since (recency of) past due items (delinquency), adverse public records (if any), or collection items (if any) Number of past due items on file Number of accounts paid as agreed Amount owing Amount owing on accounts Amount owing on specific types of accounts Lack of a specific type of balance, in some cases Number of accounts with balances Proportion of credit lines used (proportion of balances to total credit limits on certain types of revolving accounts) Proportion of installment loan amounts still owing (proportion of balance to original loan amount on certain types of installment loans) Length of time established Time since accounts opened Time since accounts opened, by specific type of account Time since account activity Search for and acquisition Number of recently opened accounts, and proportion of accounts that are recently opened, by type of account Number of recent inquiries Time since recent account opening(s), by type of account Time since inquiry(s) Re-establishment of positive history following past payment problems Types established Number of (presence, prevalence, and recent information on) various types of accounts (bank cards, retail accounts, installment loans, mortgage, consumer finance accounts, etc.) Following the FICO score will be a Score Factor section with several numbers. These numbers represent the following and were the criteria in determining the Fair Isaac Score. A 01 Current balances on accounts B 02 Delinquency on accounts C 03 Too few bank revolving accounts D 04 Too many bank revolving accounts E 05 Number of accounts with balances F 06 Number of finance company accounts G 07 Unable to evaluate recent payment history H 08 Number of recent inquiries I 33 Proportion of current loan balance to original loan amount J 09 Number of accounts opened in the last twelve months K 10 Proportion of balance to high credit on banking revolving or all revolving accounts L 11 Current balances on revolving accounts M 12 Length of revolving account history N 13 Length of time (or unknown time) since account delinquent O 14 Length of time accounts have been established P 15 Insufficient or lack of banking revolving account information Q 16 Insufficient or lack of revolving account information R 17 No recent (non-mortgage) account balance information S 18 Number of accounts delinquent T 19 Too few rated accounts current U 24 Lack of recent balances on revolving/open accounts V 20 Length of time since legal item filed or collection W 21 Amount past due to accounts Y 32 No recent installment loan information Z 30 Length of time since most recent account established * 37 Number of finance company accounts established relative to length of finance history * 25 Length of installment loan history * 26 Number of revolving accounts * 99 Lack of recent history on finance accounts, or lack of finance accounts * 31 Too few accounts with recent payment history * 28 Number of accounts established * 98 Lack of recent information on auto loan, or lack of auto loans * 36 Length of time open installment loans have been established X 38 Serious delinquency and public record or collection filed X 39 Serious delinquency X 40 Derogatory public record or collection filed PUBLIC RECORDS 5. If there are any civil actions with dollar amounts awarded, they will appear below the score summary in a field named Public Records. Public Record information consists of bankruptcies, liens and civil actions against a consumer. This information will include; the account's name and number, original filing date with court, status date if status is satisfied, released, vacated, discharged or dismissed, amount and type of public record, certificate or docket number, and code describing the consumer's association to the public record item per the ECOA. Also provided is the book and page number; plaintiff name; liability and asset amounts for bankruptcies only, voluntary indicator for bankruptcies only. (These may be displayed as VOLUN or INVOL, and an asterisk preceding public record information or a trade line indicates that information may been further review. *CHINO DISTRICT COURT C#: 45078321 11-20-92 12-01-93 1 BP: B476P210 3011111 PLAINTIFF BILL CLINTON $12,450 CIV CL JUD *U S BANKRUPTCY COURT SAN BERN D# 9907648 6-10-91 3009999 $100,000-L BK 13-PETIT VOLUN TRADES 6. There's the complete 174 page instruction manual on how to report to the CRAs. The ironic thing is that when you sue a CA and try to get them to tell you how they reported they claim trade secret. The damn thing is public domain.
