Auto Dial mystery/question

I have this law office that has called me nearly every day for over a year and and they autodial me.. I have no idea what they want or what the account and have never seen a dunning letter from them since they end up in voice mail. Plus everything I have is paid off, making payments and a few are simply out of SOL.. so I know its nothing to stress over.

here is my question.. yesterday a live person with this office called my cell.. the poor kid sounded like he could barely read a script.. it was beyond sad.. and we went to voice mail (first live call ever from them). I figured they gave the kid some dead accounts to get his feet wet on which is why he called me.

this morning another automated voice mail.. this time a NEW autodial.. It said "I am calling for Mary smith. if you are not mary smith please hang up.. LONG LONG PAUSE.. by continuing to listen you verify you are mary smith we are "cheat em, steal it and lie law firm.. blah blah blah

first of all how would they know if I listened or not since its auto voice and whats with the live guy all of the sudden then new voice mail today.. anyone have any ideas on this one?? throw them at me... this wording is just odd. Oh and its the same firm btw
