Default Baby survives after being run over by train

BBC News

A baby has had an amazing escape after his pushchair rolled off a station platform and under a train in Australia.

The train had slowed right down as it pulled into the station and the six-month-old baby suffered only a bump to his head.

CCTV of the incident was released to local media. It shows the pram rolling off the platform while the baby's mother looks on in horror.

Victoria state Police Sergeant Michael Ferwerda called the incident a 'lucky escape' and said people should be cautious in train stations.

That has to be one of my biggest fears. My kids around trains. The CCTV video is quite disturbing, even though you're not seeing blood, gore and what not.

My wife was run over by a jeep when she was a kid. She wasn't hurt at all. The jeep went right over her. Thank goodness for high clearance! It scared the **** out of her, though.

Yeah, it was a bit of a miracle. Lucky for her, she was living in a third world military dictatorship at the time, so that most of the cars on the roads were military jeeps.

One of her cousins was a bit less lucky. Her cousin has had a bad history of mental illness. One day she (the cousin, not my wife) jumped in front of a subway train. She lived, but she lost a leg. The high clearance saved her life, despite her efforts to the contrary.

Default the miracle that is the human body!

Its stories like this that renforce the duality of the human body.
The body is an amazing thing, it can be so frail in some ways and at the same time nearly indestructable in others.

A person gets hit with train and lives while another person dies from a bee sting.
